Demolition & Site Clearance

Demolition Contractors Scotland

Controlled demolition, commercial strip-outs, concrete breaking and site clearance throughout Scotland — with the groundworks to follow handled by the same contractor.

One contractor

From standing structure to cleared site

Because we are a groundworks and plant contractor first, demolition is never a stand-alone headache. Our own excavators, breakers and operators take the structure down, process the arisings and leave the site ready for the next stage — which we can price and deliver too.

  • Controlled building demolition
  • Commercial internal strip-outs
  • Concrete breaking and removal
  • Site clearance and muck away
  • Foundations and slab removal
  • Outbuildings, garages and extensions
  • Site fencing and securing
  • Groundworks to follow, priced with the demolition

Internal Strip-Out Services

Strip-outs for refurbishment and change of use

Preparing an office, shop or unit for refurbishment? We strip interiors back to the agreed level — partitions, ceilings, floors, fixtures and fittings — with waste removed and the space handed back clean and ready for the fit-out trades.

  • Office and retail strip-outs
  • Partitions, ceilings and floor finishes removed
  • Fixtures, fittings and services isolated
  • Waste segregated and removed
  • Soft strip ahead of structural demolition
  • Handover clean and ready for fit-out

Concrete Breaking & Removal

Breaking out reinforced concrete

Tracked excavators fitted with hydraulic breakers make short work of reinforced concrete — slabs, foundations, walls, yards and hardstandings. Broken material is loaded out for disposal or crushed and reused on site where the specification allows.

  • Hydraulic breaker attachments
  • Reinforced concrete slabs and foundations
  • Yards, hardstandings and floor slabs
  • Walls and structural elements
  • Loading, haulage and disposal
  • Crushing and reuse where suitable

Site Clearance

Cleared, levelled and ready to build

Once the structure is down we clear the site completely — arisings loaded out, levels reduced and the formation prepared. As a groundworks contractor we can carry straight on with excavation, foundations and drainage, so your programme never waits for another contractor.

  • Full site clearance and muck away
  • Reduced level dig and grading
  • Vegetation and obstruction removal
  • Site secured and fenced
  • Formation preparation for construction
  • Groundworks package to follow

How We Work

A safe, managed demolition

Every demolition is planned before a machine starts. You get a clear method, a fixed written quotation and one point of contact from first survey to cleared site.

  1. 01

    Survey & quotation

We visit the site, assess the structure, access and services, and provide a clear written quotation.

  2. 02

    Plan & prepare

Method statement and risk assessments prepared, services isolated and the site secured before work begins.

  3. 03

    Demolish & remove

Controlled demolition with our own operated plant, with waste segregated, loaded out and disposed of correctly.

  4. 04

    Clear & hand over

The site is cleared, levelled and handed over — or we carry straight on with the groundworks package.

Common questions

Planning a demolition or clearance

How much does demolition cost?

It depends on the size and construction of the structure, access, services, waste volumes and what happens to the site afterwards. Send us the address, photographs and any drawings and we will provide a competitive written quotation.

Do you handle the paperwork?

We prepare the method statement and risk assessments for the work and advise on any approvals needed. Where a local authority demolition notice applies, we discuss this with you at survey stage.

Can you take a building down next to occupied properties?

Yes — controlled, machine-led demolition with the site secured, dust suppressed and working hours agreed. We plan the sequence around neighbouring properties and public areas.

What happens to the rubble and waste?

Waste is segregated on site and taken to licensed facilities. Concrete and hardcore can often be crushed and reused, which reduces disposal costs.

Can you do the groundworks afterwards?

Yes — that is where we are different. As a groundworks and plant contractor we can price the excavation, foundations and drainage to follow, so one contractor takes you from standing structure to ready-to-build site.
