Electric bollards

Rising bollards supplied & installed

Automatic electric bollards give you control over who can enter your driveway, yard or premises — supplied, installed and wired by one team, with all the groundworks done in-house.

An electric rising bollard lowers flush into the ground to let you in and rises again to stop unwanted vehicles — ideal for driveways, private car parks, yard entrances and commercial premises where you need to control vehicle access.

Because we are a groundworks and construction contractor as well as a security installer, we handle the whole job: excavating the foundation, ducting for power and control cables, drainage around the bollard housing, reinstatement of the surface, and the electrical connection and set-up.

Bollards can be controlled by remote fob, keypad, smartphone app or timer, and can work alongside your CCTV, alarm system or gate automation as one complete security package.

  • Supply and installation of automatic rising bollards
  • Domestic driveways and commercial entrances
  • Foundation excavation, ducting and drainage in-house
  • Surface reinstatement after installation
  • Remote fob, keypad, app and timer control options
  • Integration with CCTV, alarms and gate automation
  • Servicing and maintenance plans available

For your home

On a home driveway a single bollard keeps the drive clear of unwanted parking, delivery vans and fly-tipping, and lowers flat so you, your family and your guests can drive straight over it. We fit them into new or existing block paving, tarmac, concrete and slabs, can pair two across a wider drive, and set them to open with your existing alarm, CCTV or gate remote.

For business, yards & shared entrances

For business premises we use heavier-duty bollards built for repeated daily use and vehicle weight, in single, twin or multi-bollard runs across yard entrances, delivery bays and private car parks, with keypad, fob or app access and out-of-hours locking.

Your questions

Planning your security system

How much does a security system cost?

Our popular packages start from £599 for a wireless alarm, £649 for a two-camera CCTV system and £1,499 for a complete alarm and CCTV package. Every property is different, so your final price is confirmed in writing after a free survey.

Will I be able to view my cameras on my phone?

Yes. All of our CCTV and alarm systems include smartphone app access, and your engineer sets this up and demonstrates it before leaving.

Do you install systems for businesses?

Yes. We install multi-site CCTV, access control and monitored alarms for retail, offices, industrial units, yards and farms across Scotland and Northern England.

Can you take over a system another company fitted?

In most cases, yes. We offer takeover and servicing of existing systems, and will advise honestly whether your equipment is worth keeping or upgrading.

How long does installation take?

Most wireless alarms and typical CCTV installs are completed in a single day. Larger commercial systems are scheduled around your working hours.

Do you install electric bollards?

Yes. We supply and install automatic rising bollards for driveways, yards and commercial entrances, including all excavation, ducting, drainage and surface reinstatement, with remote, keypad or app control.

Can a bollard be fitted on my home driveway?

Yes — home driveways are our most common bollard job. We excavate the foundation, run the power and control cable, install drainage around the housing and reinstate your surface, so the bollard sits flush and level when lowered and you can drive straight over it.

Will my visitors be able to get in?

Yes. Visitors can be let in by remote fob, keypad code, smartphone app or an intercom linked to your phone, and the bollard can be set to stay lowered during agreed hours.
